How To Bake Eggs In The Oven

This is so easy and will become your new favorite way to cook eggs!

    1. Spray a full-size muffin pan with olive oil spray.
    2. Crack each egg into the muffin cups.
    3. Sprinkle each egg with some salt and pepper.
    4. Bake in a 400-degree F, preheated oven for 10-12 minutes (per the recipe card below).

Baled whole eggs in a silver muffin pan with a bowl of chopped chives in front of it.

Expert tip: Let the eggs cool for a few minutes once they are done cooking. Then run a butter knife around the edge of each egg to easily release it from the pan.

It’s that easy! I do this weekly and have cooked eggs to enjoy for breakfast or a snack for days!

How Long to bake eggs in the oven?

This recipe takes about 10 minutes, maybe 12. The amount of time it takes to cook the eggs will depend on 2 things: Your oven and how you like your eggs cooked.

I cooked the eggs for about 10-11 minutes in these photos and I thought the texture and taste were perfect, for me. I don’t like super runny eggs but I do like the yolk softer and they were fantastic! My oven is pretty good and accurate when it comes to temperatures so 400 degrees F for about 11 minutes was ideal.

I recommend you start at 10 minutes at 400 degrees F and go from there. The longer you cook the eggs the harder and more cooked the yolk and the egg will become.

How can you tell if the eggs are done cooking?

Again this will partially depend on how you prefer your eggs but for the most part, the egg white part of the eggs should be set and not very watery and the yolk should be cooked to your preference.

    Do Eggs Contain Dairy?

I know that most people think eggs have dairy or are dairy but they are actually dairy free! Which is why they are suitable for a Paleo or Whole30 type of diet.

    Ways to serve cooked eggs

They are great on a toasted English muffin, bagel, or with some grilled naan bread. My kids love to turn them into a healthy breakfast sandwich.

You can also enjoy them with some sauteed veggies and turkey bacon for a low-carb healthy breakfast. We also love to chop them up and use them as a topping on salads or for egg salad.

Or even top them with a spoonful of pesto or salsa for a healthy and delicious high-protein snack!

    Storing and reheating tips

You can store these cooked eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Easily reheat them in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.
