Ingredients and substitutions
You only need a few simple ingredients, an air fryer, and 5 minutes to make this amazing single-serve air fryer pizza! Here is what you’ll need.
- Tortillas – you can use pretty much any type of tortillas for this air fryer pizza. I used almond flour tortillas but regular flour tortillas, low-carb tortillas or even pita bread can be used as the pizza base.
- Pizza sauce – any type of pizza sauce or pasta sauce can be used. We also love Alfredo sauce or pesto to mix things up.
- Cheese – I am a fan of mozzarella cheese on pizza but you can use any shreddable type of cheese you prefer.
- Pizza seasoning – olive oil, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. This is an optional ingredient but is recommended if you want that pizza house type of flavor.
- Toppings – I recently started to fall in love with pepperoni, so I do add a few slices, it’s my kid’s favorite. You can also use cooked ground meat, sliced chicken breast, mushrooms, peppers, or any topping you like. See other topping suggestions below.

Expert tips for the best results
- Know your air fryer – air fryers vary a lot (trust me I have a few), so I recommend checking the pizza at around 3 minutes and then continuing cooking as needed.
- Are toppings flying around the air fryer? Yes, this happens. I like to place my toppings on and then add the cheese as an anchor to help hold the toppings down. You can also spray the metal trivet most air fryers come with and place that on top of the pizza while it cooks.
- Be creative – with a personal-size pizza you get to be creative with your toppings, so go for it and have some fun with it!
- Let it cool – this air fryer tortilla pizza will crisp up more as it cools, so don’t skip the cooling time.
Pizza Topping Ideas
- Pepperoni
- Cooked ground meat – like ground turkey, sausage or beef
- Veggies – sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, onion, olives, broccoli, or spinach.
- Sliced chicken breast
- Bacon
- Pineapple + ham
Air fryer tortilla pizza recipe variations

- Meat lovers – add some cooked ground meat, bacon and pepperoni to your pizza for the ultimate meat lovers version!
- Pesto pizza – skip the pizza sauce and use some pesto instead and top with some cooked, sliced chicken breast and cheese.
- Breakfast pizza – top with cooked scrambled eggs, crumbled breakfast sausage, and shredded cheddar cheese for the ultimate breakfast pizza!
Serving Suggestions

Storage and Reheating
This is an air fryer single-serve tortilla pizza so it is unlikely that you will have leftovers. If you do then store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes so it crisps up again and remelts the cheese.
FAQ
Yes, you can make this pizza in the oven. Just assemble the tortillas pizzas as directed in this recipe but bake them on a lined baking sheet at 400°F for 3-5 minutes instead.
To prevent the tortillas from becoming soggy, make sure to spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and let them cool for 3-5 minutes after they are done cooking.
I love almond flour tortillas since they crisp up so nicely but I found that regular flour tortillas also work great!
