- Dress it up with a sauce: Toss or drizzle with fresh basil pesto or romesco sauce for an extra pop of flavor.
- Swap the sausage: Replace the chicken sausage with turkey sausage for an easy variation.
- Mix up the veggies: Try cauliflower, squash, Brussels sprouts, or your favorite seasonal vegetables to keep things interesting!
How To Store
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat portions in the oven or in a pan on the stovetop until fully heated through.
Can you freeze sheet pan gnocchi?
I do not recommend freezing this gnocchi and sausage recipe since the texture of the gnocchi can get rubbery once you freeze it.
Will frozen gnocchi work in this recipe?
I did test this sheet pan gnocchi recipe with frozen gnocchi and it came out a bit rubbery and not as plump as the shelf stable versions. Although, Trader Joe’s gnocchi is great even if you use it in its frozen state.
Why is my gnocchi not crispy?
I prefer my gnocchi plumper and less crispy but if you prefer it to be crispier then make sure not to overcrowd the pan, since that will cause the gnocchi to steam rather than crisp up. If needed, you can divide the mixture between two pans for more space.
