Expert Tips For Recipe Success
- Shape the crust round, square, or freeform—we prefer squares since they’re easier for kids.
- Use good-quality ground chicken (I used Bell Evans) or grind boneless chicken breasts in a food processor. If the chicken is wetter then blot it with a clean paper towel before mixing it with the rest of the ingredients.
- Line the pan, as the crust releases moisture while baking.
- After baking, blot excess moisture with paper towels before adding toppings.
- Bake the crust first, let it cool a few minutes, then add toppings, blotting again if needed.

Chicken pizza crust topping ideas

FAQs
Ground turkey can be used for this low-carb pizza crust, but it holds more water, making the crust wetter and less sturdy than ground chicken.
Yes you absolutely can! It will take a bit less time to bake up than ground chicken and may be slightly wetter so just pay close attention to it as it cooks and blot excess moisture.
I like to blot the ground chicken before combining it with the other ingredients. Also baking the crust first, and allowing it to rest for a few minutes (at least 5 minutes), before adding the toppings works great. You also want to make sure not to use too much pizza sauce, a thin layer of sauce is fine and goes a long way!
This low carb chicken pizza crust has less than 1 gram of carbs and 15 grams of protein per serving, just in the pizza crust, not including the toppings.
