Description
These maple cinnamon glazed air fryer apples are the perfect fall dessert! Made with 4 simple ingredients in about 15 minutes. Enjoy them as a sweet side dish or dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or yogurt!
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 medium-sized apples – about 5 cups chopped
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or apple pie spice
- Pinch of sea salt – optional
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F.
- Peel the apples, core them, then cut them into large 1-1.5 inch cubes and place them into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
- Add the maple syrup, melted butter, and cinnamon to the bowl with the apples and toss to coat them well.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking or line it with an air fryer liner. Place the apples in an even layer in the air fryer basket and cook them for 14-16 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time. Watch and check them so they don’t burn. Note: save the bowl you coated the apples in.
- Once the apples are done cooking, transfer them back to the bowl you coated them in, scrape the leftover glaze from the bottom of the air fryer into the bowl with the apples, and toss to coat them in the glaze.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or yogurt and enjoy!
Notes
- The best types of apples to use in this recipe are gala, honey crisp, or pink lady apples.
- Cut the apples into large chunks for the best results.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Reheat in the microwave, air fryer or on the stovetop until warmed through.
