Description

This cherry banana smoothie is packed with good for you ingredients like frozen cherries, bananas, chia seeds, protein powder and kefir. It is loaded with cherry chocolate goodness and it is the best healthy sweet treat for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of frozen cherries
  • 1 medium ripe banana 
  • 1/2 cup coconut or almond milk
  • 1/4 cup kefir or plain greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder – I used a vegan protein powder
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Add all smoothie ingredients to a blender. Adding the liquids first to make it easier to blend.
  2. Place the lid onto the blender and blend on high until smooth.
  3. Divide into glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Enjoy this smoothie immediately for the best results.
  • You can use frozen banana as well as frozen cherries if you like.
  • Use coconut milk or coconut yogurt in place of the kefir or greek yogurt to make this recipe vegan friendly.
