Description

This avocado cream sauce is the best easy sauce that you can whip up in 5 minutes with a few simple ingredients. It is cool, herby, tangy and so refreshing. You’ll love it drizzled on some tacos or enchiladas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2-3 medium ripe avocados
  • 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño – seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayo or sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • Salt and pepper – to taste

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to the bowl of a food processor
  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  3. Serve immediately or store and use later.

Notes

  • Make sure the avocados are soft and ripe with no brown spots. You may need 2-3 avocados depending on their size.
  • You can use sour cream in place of the mayo.
  • Dairy free Greek yogurt and vegan mayo work as well for a fully vegan version.
  • Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
