Description

Thanks to the air fryer you can make this crispy air fryer cauliflower in minutes with a few simple ingredients. It comes out perfectly golden and packed with flavor and makes the best healthy cauliflower side dish!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of cauliflower or 56 cups of chopped cauliflower florets.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cauliflower and dry it well with a clean towel. Remove the green leaves of the cauliflower using your hands or kitchen shears. You can discard them or use them for stir fry or soup. Flip the cauliflower over and use a sharp kitchen knife to cut around the core and pull it out. Most of the cauliflower florets should fall off but you may have to cut some off of the core.  Then cut the larger ones so that they are all the same size, about 1-inch.
  2. Place the cauliflower florets into a large bowl and drizzle them with the olive oil and toss to coat them all in the oil.
  3. Mix up the seasoning (garlic powder, paprika, turmeric, salt and pepper) in a small bowl and add it to the cauliflower. Toss the cauliflower well in the seasoning to coat it all.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F and spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray (non aerosol). Arrange the seasoned cauliflower in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches).  Close and cook the cauliflower for 15 minutes, flipping it in the basket every 3-5 minutes to ensure it all get’s nice and golden and crispy.
  5. Once the cauliflower is done, transfer it to a plate or serving bowl and serve warm with your other favorite dishes.

Notes

  • Cut the cauliflower florets into even sizes, about 1-inch pieces so they all cook evenly.
  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer. The cauliflower should be in a single layer.
  • You can store this roasted cauliflower in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat it in the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 2-3 minutes or in the microwave.
