Description

Air fryer pork tenderloin comes out perfectly juicy and flavorful in just 18 minutes thanks to the air fryer. This is the best foolproof method that yields incredible results every time!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (1.25 -2lb) pork tenderloin – cooking times will vary, see recipe notes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil – you may need more if using a larger piece of pork
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prep the tenderloin.  Use a sharp kitchen knife to remove the “silver skin” on top of the pork tenderloin. Then use a clean towel to dry the meat very well.
  2. Season. Mix up the seasoning (garlic powder, italian seasoning, chili powder, onion powder, salt and pepper) in a small bowl.  Rub the pork all over with the oil then rub the seasoning all over it on all sides.
  3. Cook. Preheat the air fryer to 380° F and spray the basket with cooking spray (non-aerosol). Once the air fryer is ready, place the seasoned tenderloin into the air fryer basket and cook it for 17-20 minutes, flipping it over halfway through the cooking time.  Note: cook until the internal temperature reaches 145° F. You can check this using a meat thermometer
  4. Slice and serve.  Once the pork tenderloin is fully cooked, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving it. Serve warm with your favorite easy side dishes.

Notes

  • Use a pork tenderloin that fits in your air fryer.  If it doesn’t fit then you can just cut it in half.  The cooking time will still be the same. A 1.25-2 lb. pork tenderloin will fit in most air fryers.
  • If you are using a smaller or larger pork tender (I used a 1.25lb pork tenderloin) then the cooking times will need to be adjusted.
  • Use an instant meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the pork to ensure it is done.  You want to cook it until it reaches about 145° F in the center.  Be careful not to overcook it since it is a leaner cut of meat and can get dry if overcooked. I like to take it out of the air fryer when it is just under 145°F since it will continue to cook for a few minutes while it rests.
  • Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving it. It should be slightly light pink in the middle, which is what it should be when perfectly cooked.
  • Storing and reheating– store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 4 months. Reheat portions in the microwave or in the air fryer until warmed through. If frozen, thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
