Description

These delicious chocolate air fryer cookies are easy to make without cranking up your oven. They are made with a few simple ingredients and result in a delicious homemade chocolate chip cookie that is ready in 10 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup) – melted
  • 1/4 cup dark cocoa powder – unsweetened
  • 1 + 1/2 cup all-purpose flour – gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup dark coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Combine the melted butter with the cocoa powder and mix well. Let that sit for 5-7 minutes on the counter.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
  3. Whisk the cocoa butter mixture together with the sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla, then add in the egg + egg yolk and whisk well to combine everything together.
  4. Slowly mix the flour mixture into the cocoa butter batter until it is fully combined, then fold in the chocolate chips. Cover and chill the cookie dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  5. Working in batches, use a small ice cream scoop to drop the cookie dough onto the parchment paper lined air fryer basket. Make sure to space the cookies at least 2 inches apart, 4-6 at a time in the air fryer, making sure to evenly place them so the weight of the dough holds the paper down.
  6. Cook the cookies for 7-9 minutes at 350 degrees F. Once the cookies are done, let them sit in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to continue cooling. They will firm up more as they cool.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

    Notes

    1. Make sure to use parchment paper cut to fit your air fryer and place the cookie dough around in an even layer since that will help hold the parchment paper in place while the cookies are cooking.
    2. Do not skip the chill time or the cookies will spread in the air fryer as they cook.
    3. Use dark cocoa powder for super decadent cookies.
    4. Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
